The inscription reads:
"A German Prisoner-of-war camp - Stalag Marienburg Willenburg XX B - for 33,000 non-commissioned officers and privates of various nationalities was located in this place during World War 2. In Memory of those who died and those who survived - inhabitants of Malbork."
